It answers your shoppers around the clock, in any language, using your own business information. You install it by pasting one line of code into your WordPress site and, if you want, you connect it to your catalog so it answers with your real products, prices and stock.
No plugin. No changes to your store design.
A good share of store questions arrive at night or over the weekend. The bot replies right away, with nobody having to watch the chat.
WooCommerce handles variable products: one product with several sizes and colors. The bot reads those variations and answers about the exact combination it is asked for.
If a variation has run out, the bot says so and offers the ones you do have. It will not sell something you cannot ship.
The shopper asks in the chat with their order number and the email used to buy. The bot checks that the two match before showing anything, then reports the status.
It detects the language it is written in and answers in the same one. Someone writing in Spanish or Portuguese is not left waiting.
It does not answer with generic information from the internet: it answers with what you uploaded and what is in your store. When it has no solid answer, it hands the conversation over instead of making something up.
You paste one line of code into your WordPress site and the chat shows up on every page of your store, on desktop and mobile. The bot answers with the information you upload in your dashboard: FAQs, shipping terms, return policy, payment methods, whatever you need. This works on any WordPress install and is available from the free trial onwards.
This is a separate, optional step. You grant read-only access to your store and the bot starts reading your real catalog: products, prices, variations and stock, plus order status. This belongs to the plans with a connected catalog. If your store runs on WooCommerce, connecting it starts a Pro plan trial on its own, so you can see it working with your own products before paying anything.
WooCommerce runs on WordPress, so it installs like any other third-party code. You do not need to write code or install a dojosell plugin: the only thing you add is one line that loads the chat.
To paste the code and get the chat running all you need is access to your store’s WordPress dashboard. Nothing else.
To connect your store so the bot reads your catalog and your orders, you also need these three things:
https://. The access authorization travels over it, and without a certificate the connection cannot be made.Open your dojosell dashboard and find the box with the widget code. It is a single line and it carries your account identifier, so yours is not the same as anyone else’s. Copy it exactly as it is, without changing anything.
In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins → Add New and search for WPCode (formerly "Insert Headers and Footers"). Install and activate it. It is free and it is the safest way to add code: if you switch themes later, the code is not lost.
A Code Snippets entry appears in the left-hand menu. Go there and open Header & Footer.
The screen has several boxes. Paste the code into the Footer one and save your changes. In the footer and not the header: that way the chat loads after your content and does not slow your store down.
Open your store in a new tab. The chat should appear at the bottom right, on every page, product pages included. If it does not show up, see the common issues below.
<script src="https://app.dojosell.com/widget.js" data-site="ds_xxxxxxxxxxxx" defer></script>
This is an example: the identifier you see here does not work. You get yours from your dashboard.
You can paste the same code straight into your theme, under Appearance → Theme File Editor → footer.php, right before the </body> tag. It works the same, but it has one real drawback: updating the theme wipes the change and the chat disappears from your store with no warning. If you go this route, use a child theme and keep a copy of the file before editing it.
With the code pasted you already have the chat running. If you also want the bot to know your catalog and your orders, the WooCommerce connection card appears on the Home tab of your dashboard. From there you go to the authorization screen on your own store and grant access.
WooCommerce has no tracking codes of its own, so the bot reports what state the order is in (payment pending, being prepared, shipped, ready for pickup, cancelled) but it cannot give you the carrier’s tracking number or say where the parcel is. On Tiendanube it can, because that platform does store it.
Since we do not use a plugin inside your store, we have no way to put code on your site ourselves. You paste that line, once.
The bot asks your store for updates every so often. If your hosting is very slow or down, the sync falls behind. That is not something we can fix from the outside.
No. There is no dojosell plugin for WooCommerce and none is needed. The chat is added with one line of code, and the catalog connection happens from the outside, with a read-only permission you grant from your own store.
It goes in the footer and loads deferred, so it downloads after your store content and does not hold up what the visitor is looking at.
No. The access we ask for is read-only. It can read products, prices, stock and orders, and nothing more. It cannot create, edit or delete anything.
If your store is connected, you do not have to do anything: the sync picks up changes on its own every few minutes. If you did not connect it, you update the information in your dashboard and the bot answers with the new version right away.
Yes, and that is where it shows most. The bot reads each product’s variations and answers about the exact size and color combination it is asked for, with its price and its stock.
Check three things. First, that the code is saved in the footer box and not another one. Second, that your account has an active plan or a running trial and that you have not used up this month’s messages. Third, if you use a caching plugin, clear the cache and reload your store.
It is nearly always one of the three requirements: the store is not on HTTPS, WooCommerce is older than 8.2, or permalinks are set to "Plain". Check those three and try again.
Yes. The chat installs the same way on any WordPress site. What you will not have is the connected catalog or orders, since that needs a store.
The chat installs on any website by pasting the same line of code. The live catalog and order connection is currently available for WooCommerce and Tiendanube; PrestaShop is coming soon.
The trial is free, we do not ask for a card and nothing is charged automatically. If you connect your WooCommerce store, the Pro plan trial starts on its own so you can see it working with your real products.
